In May 2024, the Sir Dawda Kairaba Jawara International Conference Centre welcomed delegations from across the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation for the 15th Islamic Summit — the event the Centre was purpose-built to host.
Across the plenary hall, thematic rooms, and press facilities, the summit demonstrated the venue’s capacity to deliver diplomacy at the highest level: simultaneous interpretation in multiple languages, full protocol and security, and seamless coordination between delegations, media, and operations teams.
The summit set the standard for everything that follows. Today the same spaces are available year-round for state, diplomatic, corporate, and cultural events.
